Tell your Wingmen to hold by targeting them and issuing the Wait command (SHIFT-W). Take out the fighters yourself and then take the mines out while waiting for more fighters to show up. When ALL of the mines are destroyed order your Wingmen t proceed by targeting them and issuing the Go Ahead command (Shift-G). They will then attack the FRG. You can join them after you have eliminated the fighter cover.
