The key to this mission is the protection of the medium transports T-37, T-38, and T-39 as they dock with the Platform ?Hormuuz.? When the three medium transports come out of hyperspace, roughly 16 seconds after the beginning of the mission, assign them to your three memory locations. Shortly afterward, the Victory-class Star Destroyer ?Stormhawk? will enter the battle. The Stormhawk will then launch three TIE fighters--T/F Alpha--along with three TIE bombers from flight group Beta. Once the ?Stormhawk? hypes in send all of your power to engines and attack the incoming fighters. Take as many ships from Alpha squadron as you can on the first pass, they should be attacking a Z-95 from Gold squadron, then proceed to take out a few TIE bombers from Beta. By this time you will notice that the Imperial-class Star Destroyer ?Rage? has entered the area, it will soon launch three ships from TIE Fighter group Delta.

Throughout the course of the mission you will be continually pestered by both groups of TIE fighters. This threat can be easily dealt with if you are quick enough in destroying them--there are only 12 ships in each group, including TIE Bomber Beta. Once the first MTRNS has completed its docking operation, usually T-37, a ship flight of three shielded TIE interceptors from Avenger squadron will launch--this group also contains twelve fighters in all. Avenger group will then proceed to attack the medium transports. You cannot let one MTRNS be destroyed so you must be quick in driving off the T/Is. When medium transport T-37 gets within two klicks of the ?Rage,? you will need to fire one of your Mag Pulse torpedoes at the ISD. If you do not disable the Star Destroyers weaponry, it will easily destroy the transports, even if you kept Avenger squad off them.

Continue to escort each transport out to its hyper point using the same methods as mentioned above. TIE bomber Beta, or Assault Gunboat group Tau that launches after Beta is destroyed, will inevitably get the platform?s shields down. After the ?Hormuuz?s shields are out an assault transport and two escort shuttles will launch to capture it, ignore them and continue to keep the evacuating ships from being destroyed. The only other thing to worry about is the shuttle ?Raven,? that will be holding the command staff. The Raven launches when the shields go down on the ?Hormuuz,? the shuttle will usually make it into hyperspace safely if there are any medium transports that have not yet escaped. If the shuttle is the last thing to leave, you will need to protect the ?Raven? in the same manner that you used when escorting the medium transports.

Unless you go all out and finish off every group of Imperial fighters, which is nearly impossible on hard, you will receive an Excellent Performance ribbon for this mission.
